In February 2022 I produced Borderlines 1, a short film about a local topic that worries the people in the province of Groningen already for many years. In the film the local problem is set in the context of global economic powers and a geopolitical event that happened while making it.

This is the first film in the series of Borderlines. A sequence of works in which I explore the different types of borderlines and it influence on its surroundings. Borderlines 1 is shot on the border between the Netherlands and Germany, in the near of Oud Statenzijl in the Groningen province.
